Donations & Refund Policy

Donors should only donate money or goods if they are sure they wish to support the Foundation. A change of mind, change in personal circumstances, disagreement with future Foundation activity, or accidental donation of unwanted goods will not normally create a right to a refund or return.

Monetary donations may be used to support children’s programmes, community activities, operating costs, fundraising activity, governance, administration, and other lawful Foundation purposes. Once funds have been received and accepted, they may be committed or spent quickly, which is why donations are non-refundable.

Once goods are accepted or collected, ownership normally transfers to the Foundation. Goods may be sorted, resold, recycled, donated, disposed of, or otherwise handled at the Foundation’s discretion. Donors should check items carefully before donation because goods cannot usually be reclaimed after collection, sorting, processing, sale, disposal, or recycling.

The Foundation may consider a refund only in exceptional circumstances, such as a clear duplicate payment, an obvious administrative error, or where required by law. Any request must be made promptly by email with the donor’s name, contact details, payment date, amount, and reason for the request. The Foundation’s decision will depend on the circumstances and any legal, banking, or operational requirements.

Sponsorships, grants, and restricted funding are subject to the relevant written terms agreed with the Foundation. Unless a written agreement states otherwise, funding is not refundable once accepted and may only be returned where legally required, where the Foundation cannot use the funds for the agreed purpose, or where the Foundation decides that returning the funds is appropriate.
